Laura
This is a shot from a senior portrait shoot I had with Laura last weekend. This one is in North Davidson, at the last location we went to. She ha to stand still for this one because we were running out of light, but it turned out good. It was a fun shoot!

The Xbox 360 Elite
For my Self Promo 4, I decided to shoot an Xbox. I was originally planning to do a normal studio shot. Then i talked to my instructor, Chuck. He told me to NOT shoot a normal boring studio shot, and he really challenged me to do something no one had ever done, and make it exciting. So you might could say i did that, or atleast tried. This photo consists of 3 separate images. One shot for the smoke, and one for the fire. They were both shot at the same location. The third shot was the xbox which i shot in the studio. I did my best to match the light in the studio with the light that i used on location (which was my car head lights). The smoke came from a bottle rocket(firework) that my friend Daniel held down for me. The fire came from gasoline. We had t try it only 3 times to get it right!! Over all I was pretty happy with how real we were able to get it to look.

Self Promo
For my first self promo, I wanted to do a fashion shot. This is my girlfriend Catherine. Originally I was going to do a regular head shot, showing of the make up and hair. Then i had her fling her hair just for fun, and I liked that much better. This is what we ended up with. She did such an incredible job!!
"Us and Them"
This shot was for my Photographic Illustration class. We had to shoot a book cover for the book "Us and Them", which is about intolerance in America. I used the colors of the American flag to represent different groups, religions, or ethnic groups in America. I used oil to represent how some of those groups don't mix, even though they live in the same country. I put blue oil in a shot glass and turned it upside down in the water glass. I then poured water into the glass. Then I poured some red oil in the glass, and since oil and water don't mix, the red rose to the top.
